It’s Popronde time again! The travelling festival, packed with new, up-and-coming Dutch talent, is stopping off at Simplon once more. What’s more, we’re also hosting the official after-party! Featuring:
MAHA (21.00h)
MAHA is a Sudanese multidisciplinary artist and zine publisher based in the Netherlands. In recent years, MAHA has reinvented herself as a punk artist and founder of Mahazine. MAHA’s mission is to use her creativity as a means of resistance against oppression and prejudice, and as a celebration of self-expression and community.
MAYTE (22.00h)
Headstrong alt-pop with Frisian lyrics, straight from the heart. Inspired by artists such as PJ Harvey and Tori Amos, and exploring themes such as lost loves and growing up, MAYTE draws you into her explosive, theatrical performance. In 2025, she won the Kleine Prijs van Friesland, the Frisian song contest LIET and the Bernlefpriis. In 2026, she made her debut with her EP “Himel Iepen”.
DE FORMULE (23.30h)
DE FORMULE zorgt ervoor dat de avonden eindeloos duren door elektronische muziek te combineren met de rauwe energie van een band. Ze mixen nummers als een DJ, maar met de kracht van een punkband. Geïnspireerd door Noisia en Limp Bizkit zorgt DE FORMULE ervoor dat het publiek niet stil blijft staan.
Anna Joan (01.15h)
Een veelzijdige showstopper. Geïnspireerd door artiesten als FKA Twigs, COBRAH en Sevdaliza staat Anna Joan op het punt om in ‘26 haar rauwe, donkere elektronische sound te laten horen. Haar nieuwe, zelfgeproduceerde EP 'SKIN’ is een sonisch manifest van seksuele bevrijding. In haar elektronische optredens combineert ze dans, livemuziek en uitmuntende vocale prestaties in een rauwe geluidswereld.
