Ciao Lucifer
reality-escaping, uplifting indiepop
Having fun is a form of art, and Ciao Lucifer have mastered it like no other. This Amsterdam
duo wears the label 'feel-good band' with pride. Since their high school days these two
friends have made music, and since a few years as Ciao Lucifer: the indie pop project in
which they tackle life's hardships with cheerful music. Their danceable, sunny tunes exist for
one purpose only: to escape bleak reality, and dance away your demons. A kind of exorcism
ritual, but with more kazoo.
The Amsterdammers process their struggles with life and the state of the world in clever
ways. Their lyrics have a deeper layer, wrapped in catchy choruses. A formula with which
Ciao Lucifer makes the world a slightly nicer place. With success, because they’ve been
playing on national and international stages for years. And whether they play for a sold-out
Paradiso or three drunken Macedonians, they raise the roof with surgical precision.
Ciao Lucifer takes fun very seriously and they bring that energy onto the stage. The band
makes every show a unique and colourful party. By glueing their tunes together like a DJ
set, they create a non-stop rollercoaster of hooks and grooves that slowly boils over until
even the most bitter sourpuss is jumping with their hands in the air.
