Lézard
A discopunk diorama
With a dazzling mix of post-punk, disco, glam rock, new wave, and electroclash, Lézard treads the fine line between comedy and tragedy—songs that unfold like a comedic play and the cacophony behind the scenes. The debut album *Que Se Passe t-il* is a diorama in which heartbreakers, voyeurs, escapists, and dreamers mingle beneath a shattered disco ball. Lézard turns the camera desperately on itself: what on earth is going on on this big blue rock?
With Lézard’s first series of singles—kicking off with the rousing “Nothing At All”—Lézard quickly became a massive live sensation. Festivals on the Reeperbahn, the MaMA Festival, The Great Escape, Nuremberg Pop, Left of the Dial, Pukkelpop, Best Kept Secret, Eurosonic, and Radiance all fell under their spell.
You could call Que Se Passe t-il both a breakup album and a comeback album: the five members of Lézard have now left their party days behind them. They’ve absorbed and condensed all the spirits and fragments of those hazy nights, only to unleash them once more in rebellious disco-punk that takes over body and mind in a wild, unbridled way.
