House Rules

Welcome to Simplon! Please note our house rules below.

1. General

  • We aim to provide a safe environment for our visitors, staff and performers. We therefore do not tolerate racism, discrimination, sexual harassment or any other disruptive, offensive or inappropriate behaviour.
  • Do you feel unsafe, or are you worried about someone else? Please feel free to speak to a member of staff.
  • Always follow the instructions given by our staff.
  • If you fail to comply with the house rules or instructions, we reserve the right to deny you access to Simplon for an indefinite period.

2. Admission

  • For concerts, we recommend that you are accompanied by an adult if you are under 14.
  • The minimum age for club nights is 18.
  • Please show your ID upon request.
  • We may check the contents of your bag.
  • We only serve alcohol to people aged 18 or over.
  • You are not permitted to bring your own food and drink into the venue.
  • Drinks may not be taken outside.
  • Smoking is prohibited at Simplon; vaping is also not permitted.
  • The use of hard drugs and the trafficking of hard and soft drugs is prohibited.
  • No weapons or dangerous items are permitted inside.
  • Face coverings, such as masks or balaclavas, are not permitted.
  • Shoes must be worn. Wearing open-toed footwear (e.g. flip-flops or sandals) is at your own risk.
  • No more than one person per toilet cubicle.
  • Permission must be requested from Simplon in advance for the making of video and audio recordings.
  • We take photographs and record videos for promotional purposes.
  • Please be considerate of our neighbours when leaving the building.

3. Liability

  • Items belonging to Simplon must not be taken outside.
  • If you cause damage or injury to people or property, we will report it to the police.
  • We cannot be held liable for any injury or material or non-material damage arising from a visit to Simplon.

4. Fire safety

  • In the event of a fire, do not panic. Stay calm and alert the nearest member of staff.

5. Lost and found

  • Have you lost something? Please send the date and a description to info@simplon.nl.
  • Have you found something in Simplon that someone else might have lost? Please hand it in at the cloakroom.
