Klezmagic
Energetic Balkan and Klezmer
Klezmagic is an energetic Amsterdam-based band that weaves together Balkan, Klezmer and their own influences into an explosive mix. With driving rhythms, rousing brass and captivating strings, they get every venue moving, from intimate clubs to bustling festivals.
The chemistry between the musicians on stage is almost palpable: the result of the close bonds of friendship within the group, forged through years of playing together and touring Europe in the summer. As a result, the band has also built up a growing international fanbase.
Their debut album is due to be released in March 2026. ‘Op Vrije Voeten’ is a multifaceted album in which the Klezmagic sound is renewed and rediscovered. Amidst a mosaic of influences from Eastern European, Turkish, Italian and Dutch music, the album meanders between melancholy and joy, the city and nature, chaos and tranquillity. It embraces ecstasy whilst at the same time daring to be small and vulnerable. The first three singles have already been released and streamed several thousand times. It’s going to be a night of dancing when they come to our Bovenzaal!
