Kaya Imani
Kaya Imani is the voice of the new generation of R&B in the Netherlands. She grew up in a musical family and learned to sing and play the piano at a young age. Although she was surrounded by an eclectic mix of genres during her childhood, she developed a deep love for R&B and soul. With her narrative songs, she wants to inspire others and hopes that her audience will draw strength from her music.
In 2023, Kaya was selected for FunX Talent and released her debut EP, Imani. In early 2024, she cemented her position as a rising star with the hit Ben Met Je, which she quickly followed up with Cruise Control, featuring Yssi SB. In May 2024, she won the FunX Award for Next Best, confirming her growing impact.
On November 1, 2024, Kaya released her second album, Alles, just before her solo concert in the Tolhuistuin. On Alles, she intertwines love, pain, and personal experiences into compelling music. Her concert at the Tolhuistuin sold out within a week. In 2026, she will start her “Pitstop Tour,” a road trip through the Netherlands with stops in Rotterdam, Groningen, Tilburg, and finishing with the “Homecoming show” in Utrecht. Kaya proves time and again that she is not here today, gone tomorrow: she is here to stay and grow.
