Mood Bored

Over the past few years, Tilburg-based Mood Bored has evolved into a trio with a distinct sound of its own: think raw, experimental shoegaze with catchy, poppy hooks. The band sings of a world in which you have to find your place: a world where nihilism and hope are sometimes not far apart.

Amidst walls of noisy guitars and thundering drums, an explosive expression of a self-assured inner voice emerges: louder, more honest and more uncompromising than ever before. In doing so, the band deliberately seeks out contrasts: hard versus soft, sharp versus hazy, organic versus digital. The result is a sound that can be big and compelling, yet remains personal and intimate at the same time.

The band was selected as a 3voor12 Popronde talent in 2022 and has since released two EPs: *Bored* (2023) and *Too Much?* (2025). (2025). With a strong live reputation, Mood Bored quickly built up a following in the Netherlands and the UK, playing sold-out headline shows. Their latest album was recorded at Black Mountain Studios in Ireland and produced in collaboration with Irish producer David Noonan (Just Mustard). With this new album on the horizon, Mood Bored will be touring in the spring of 2027, and will be stopping off at the Simplon.
