FRIDAY
FRIDAY is the indie project of childhood friends Koen and Quinten. Their first records sounded melodious, light, and built on friendship and a sense of freedom. They achieved success under major labels: two Top Songs on NPO Radio 2, more than 15 million Spotify streams, and sold-out shows. However, the downside was that spontaneity and honesty were lost sight of.
The third album is their answer: darker, rawer, and less polished. Songs about escape and disillusionment, but also about the search for meaning in a world that is both infinite and suffocating. FRIDAY retains the anthems and energy of their beginnings, but now adds rougher edges and deeper layers. Music for the in-between: late nights, restless mornings, and moments when freedom feels desperately needed.
