LFLF Workforce // Nymfo & more
Bassface kicks off 2026 with a special collaboration with Love For Low Frequencies (LFLF), the label started in 2023 by Dutch drum & bass legend Nymfo, which grew in the following years into a collective of local and international producers.
Under Nymfo's mentorship, established names and emerging artists such as Tweakz, Dava, Felov, Dub Head, Crystal Clear, and Clearance released EPs on the label, events were organized during ADE, and LFLF DJs performed at various festivals and events. In January, our Groningen-based drum & bass producer and Bassface Crew member Yannons will release his ‘Culture’ EP on the label, which calls for us to bring the label to Simplon!
At the top of the lineup, long at the top of Bassface's to-book list, and special guest for the evening: Workforce! As the former half of Spectrasoul, Workforce was already a legend in the drum & bass scene before he started his new alias. After years of being one of the most influential artists in the scene, he decided it was time for a new solo alias, and Workforce was born. Since then, he has released three (!) rock-solid albums containing absolute classics such as “Cheap Love,” “Forever,” and “Falling Down.” It is an honor to bring Workforce to Simplon, and we are really looking forward to this set!
Label boss and Dutch drum & bass legend Nymfo is, of course, a must-have for any LFLF night at Simplon. Ever since we, the Bassface Crew, first came to Simplon, Nymfo has been an artist to look forward to. Multiple albums and EPs on major labels such as Metalheadz, Dispatch Recordings, and Hospital Recordings show that Nymfo has been one of the biggest artists in our scene for years. When we heard that he was starting his own label, we were immediately on the edge of our seats. His variety of styles and techniques ensures that he fits perfectly into the Bassface picture, from hard breakbeats and thick basslines to sultry melodies and deep bass.
Yannons, now known as Bassface's resident DJ and organizer, has something to celebrate! His “Culture” EP will be released on January 9 on Love For Low Frequencies, and this edition of Bassface is an excellent time to celebrate! His minimal style returns on this EP in the form of short, hard drums combined with dark atmospheres and deep basslines. After previous EPs on Transparent Audio and Engage Audio, the move to LFLF is a great step in his development as an artist.
