KINDERPUNK is a Dutch-language punk band bursting with endless enthusiasm. The band sings about themes such as growing up, identity, and the chaos of everyday life, all mixed with a generous dose of humor. With their playful, over-the-top, and theatrical live shows, KINDERPUNK invites the audience to shout along, dance, and unapologetically be themselves.
Every show is an explosion of energy, where the line between band and audience quickly disappears. By winning the Audience Award for Frisian Song of the Year with ‘ADHD’, the band proved that their music not only makes an impact, but also sticks with you. De Mis draws out tears in moshpits and thoughts whilst headbanging. It’s theatrical, Dutch-spoken (post-)punk, on top of which you’re getting emotionally sucker punched by a hysterical witch. The audience will be immersed in stories of megalomania…
Het publiek wordt ondergedompeld in teksten over het oedipuscomplex, liefde voor de daad en grootheidswaanzin. En weet je tegelijkertijd te verleiden met manische intensiteit à la Savages en Sonic Youth. Gewapend met ironie stookt De Mis het vuur op, want de wereld staat toch al in brand.
