Anti-Squat Collective presents: Summer Market at Simplon!

Join us on Sunday, June 11th for the Anti-Squat Summer Market at Simplon. You’re cordially invited to immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere brimming with art, music, and fashion from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Explore the lower hall where you’ll discover a lively art market and blacksmithing, or unwind at the Simplon Café while enjoying refreshing drinks and engaging conversations. In the upstairs room, indulge in our unique clothing swap and fashion corner, showcasing the trendiest local brands for you to score a new style. And if that’s not enough, our talented resident DJs will keep the upstairs room pulsating with the best of hip-hop, house, and drum and bass all day long.

Admission is free, and we encourage you to bring along your friends and family. Please note that for the clothing swap, we kindly ask you to refrain from bringing shoes, jackets, underwear, socks, or heavily damaged clothing. Don’t forget to bring a bag to conveniently carry your clothes and belongings. We accept both card payments and cash.

Who are we at Anti-Squat Collective?

Anti-Squat Collective emerged from the parties and events held during the corona period, within a cozy anti-squat building in Groningen. We swiftly realized the significance of community, which became the cornerstone of our mission: to create a sense of community through events where a reliable network takes center stage. By bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds, we foster new connections and provide support for talented, passionate creatives to flourish.

Our aim is to offer a space, both during the day with markets, film screenings, workshops, and more, as well as during the night with raves, where anyone with a desire to share their creativity can grow and thrive. We collaborate closely with emerging local talents and aspire to build an inclusive environment where everyone feels at home and can nurture their personal growth.
