Time to embrace the Black Cloak Lifestyle! Homebase is bringing The Doppelgangaz back to Groningen. The idiosyncratic ghastly duo, consisting of American childhood friends Matter ov Fact and EP, already performed at Homebase in 2019, where they gave a phenomenal show. Reason enough to invite them back!

In 2011, the two rose to fame with their album Lone Sharks, which was well received worldwide. Especially the grim 90’s productions with their own contemporary twist stood out. Because of that twist, characterized by the black cloaks and embracing the way of life of a vagabond, The Doppelgangaz built up a loyal fan base in the foreseeable future. They remained prolific over the years, releasing fourteen albums (six mainly instrumental) and seven EPs.

In all that time, The Doppelgangaz have always remained themsaelves. Rarely do we see such a consistent rap group that gives its fans what they crave with every record they release. Since AAAAGGGHH, released in 2018, their followers have been waiting for a new album. And the time was nigh.

The duo released its long-awaited seventh studio album titled Black Cloak Lifestyle December 16th. In spring 2023, The Doppelgangaz will return to Simplon for the Black Cloak Lifestyle Tour in Europe!
