On 10 February, DRUK returns to Simplon after two successful editions! This time with a line-up of DJs and MCs from the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. Coming to Groningen as headliner is Manga Saint Hilare, a grime artist who played a major role in the development of Grime as a member of pioneering group Roll Deep. Berlin group Garage Girls will also come to Groningen, known for their garage parties at Berlin club OHM.

Manga Saint Hilare

Matthew Reid, better known by his stage name Manga Saint Hilare is an independent British artist and two time MOBO award nominee of St Lucian and St Vincent heritage. His musical history is well-documented. He played a part in Grime’s development as a member of pioneering crew Roll Deep, a group with which he earned 2 UK No.1 hits. Since going solo, Manga has unapologetically developed his artistic style as an MC, a designer and a media personality.

Growth and introspection are common themes in his thought-provoking lyrics. He’s a storyteller. He talks vulnerably of the relatable trials in everyday life with cold hard facts and perfectly balances them with humour and light hearted fun. He’s a true wordsmith. Manga Saint Hilare performs live with as much heart as he writes. He consistently provides high energy & high-quality performances, delivered in an energetic and captivating fashion.

Jeftuz is a 38-year old Moluccan producer & DJ from Groningen, the Netherlands. He is also an experienced beatmaker, having started making beats at just 14 years old. Jeftuz began producing tracks for various artists at the age of 18 when his career started to blossom. His remixes of tracks by Justin Bieber, Jagged Edge, TLC, Destiny’s Child and SWV drew significant attention online with listeners on Soundcloud, building the popularity he now has today.

Currently, Jeftuz is working on a solo project with some great collaborations that listeners should look forward to, recently working with the legendary Zed Bias for a remix of his track “London Town”.
