This Simplon Up evening cannot be placed in genres or boxes, but is all about experimenting sounds!

Zeisz]] is a trio from the province of Groningen that creates dark, layered soundscapes with a total absence of rhythm and melody. The boundaries of density, pressure and volume are explored through the sonic world of ambient, doom and minimalism. In 2020 they released their digital album Macbeth, consisting of two songs of more than half an hour each. Prepare for layers of samples, guitars and lyrics, prepare yourself for a catharsis!

Asymmetry find their way in the world of instrumental progressive music. This music cannot be placed in a specific box, but the band certainly draws inspiration from bands such as Porcupine Tree, TOOL, Queen and Muse. Combining varied styles such as progressive music, classical and funk creates the band’s alternative sound. In October 2021 they released their first live EP The Simplon Takes. Later that year, they got together with violinist Elisabeth Kramer to re-record and rewrite the live EP. In May 2022, Asymmetry’s first studio EP was released under the name In Character.
