Waltzburg

Waltzburgs alternative pop tells a musical coming-of-age story about friendship, love and embracing flaws. The group emerged from Nijmegen’s nightlife, where singer Menno Krivokutya gradually gathered several musicians around him. In the following years this group will build a steady live reputation. Radio silence follows the 2019 album Cut the Wire and the 2021 EP Let’s All Pretend. 

The songs from the new album take shape during the pandemic and the following period of pregnancy and parenthood where Menno and band member Nicole Jansen welcome their first child. Black Cat on Your Doormat is a melancholic album with honest, strong, energetic songs. The album was recorded with Pieter-Jan Coppejans at the Robot Studios in Ghent. The recording process was completed at Schenk Studio in Amsterdam, under the careful supervision of Pieter Vonk.
