Traversus + Juno's Valley

Traversus crosses the genres of hard rock and metal with a tight heavy sound. The young, progressive four-piece band from Emmen draws its inspiration from bands like Dream Theater, Leprous, Trivium and Muse. Lead singer and guitarist Madelief de Groot voices sharp criticism of human behaviour, addresses sensitive topics and lays bare her own emotions. Heavy riffs and melodic solos of lead guitarist Joey Wessels are combined with the tight foundation by bassplayer Mika Linde and drummer Liam de Groot. The band makes music that is cleverly composed and arranged, but still has catchy melodic vocals. In 2021, the band released its first singles “Misplaced” and “Applauding Lies.” The band has already played at Eurosonic, Bevrijdingsfestival Assen, SPY festival, Hello festival and Graspop Baflo. Over the past year, the foursome has been busy recording their debut EP under the guidance of renowned metal producer Joost van den Broek.
