Goldkimono

Although singer-songwriter Tienus Konijnenburg is just from Utrecht, Goldkimono originated in California. Inspired by the sun, the waves and 90’s hip hop, he started making music on a rented guitar and a laptop. Listen to singles ‘To Tomorrow’ and ‘Electric Swing’ and in your mind you can imagine yourself on Venice Beach with a surfboard under your arm!

Before he released his solo work as Goldkimono, Konijnenburg achieved success with his band Leafs, which scored the big hit ‘Wonderwoman’ in 2007. As a songwriter he also wrote, among other things, the world hit ‘Firestone’ by Norwegian producer Kygo. Now it’s more time for his own success. In 2020, Goldkimono released his first single ‘To Tomorrow’ and has since racked up millions of streams. This year the release of his debut album is planned and we are only too happy to bring this talented artist to Simplon!
