Xtort

With themes such as loneliness, propaganda, social media, fake news and all the bad in people, the industrial electro act Xtort brings us his bleak view of the world. The music is written on analog and vintage gear from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Analog synths & sample techniques from the heyday of electronic music like Kraftwerk, Jean Michel Jarre with a more vintage sound. Unfortunately the corona epidemic put a spanner in the works for his European tour, but now Xtort is back! Want to know how it will sound live? ModEnv

The name ModEnv is an abbreviation of Modulated Envelope, a technical term for modulating time. The duo consisting of Remco Hoogsteen and Kyle de la Porte uses deep synth bass grooves, pads to dream away, robotic vocals and screaming lead sounds. In other words, enough ingredients for a danceable and interesting music evening! They are supported by the artistic designer Jan Herman de Boer, who brings the music to life through amazing visuals. In 2021, the first EP ModEnv was released, which you can listen to on Spotify.
