The Skints

In a brilliant way, The Skints give their own twist to Jamaican music as it flooded the suburbs of London in the 1980s. ‘East London reggae’ is how they call their raw mix of ska, dub, reggae, hip hop, and punk-with-urban attitude. From their early days, they were taken along as support by many well-known bands, and so they have made a name for themselves throughout Europe and in the US.

In recent years they have been at Lowlands, the Zwarte Cross, Welcome To The Village and in a sold-out Melkweg. They also did a successful club tour in 2016, in which they also played at Simplon. On Friday 10 May they release their new album “Swimming Lessons”, of which they recently released the single “Learning To Swim” with clip. So there’s no doubt this will be a splashing show!
