SULTAN. + Dirty Robot

SULTAN. is a three man strong multidisciplinary rock ’n roll storm based in Utrecht, turning the UP-stage into a danger zone on March 24th. Upon hearing this name, the images and stories of ‘One Thousand and One Nights’ vibrantly wander through the mind. It is not just the name that has this Eastern representation, the music also makes you feel as if you are standing at an Eastern Disco, which occasionaly blasts a grunge/rock banger. Dirty Robot is a noise rock band from Leeuwarden. Their EP Teleshopping is loaded with distortion and other interesting sounds. Sk8 or die; one of the slogans of the band. You can hear and feel this through their music, as the first few tones of their song ‘Derrick’s Hardware Store’ makes you want to get up on your skateboard and ride that thing. And I don’t even own a skateboard.

Ad-Dy will fill up the space before, after and in between with vinyl records in the styles of Darkwave and Post-punk.
