Nebenschau + Shoom

Listening to Nebenschau in a weird dissociative state wouldn’t be a bad suggestion, the vocals are dreamy but the guitars, drums and bass are there to pull you right out of it and in a blink you’re back on this earth. Nebenschau sounds like a mixture of influences from the 60s, 70s and 80s but is definitely labelled under the shoegaze category like Slowdive. The raw edge in their sound could be described as grunge-like and even leans towards psychedelic rock. Their sound is the perfect combination for a great night, especially with a cold drink in hand.

This evening we also invite shoom, a band emerged from the depths of the corona crisis. Trying to make undanceable music danceable, shoom produces a quietly sound with (sometimes unexpected) moments of noise. When trying to push them in a genre you go into directions of post-rock or math-rock, with heavy guitars, difficult drumbeats and definitely noise. This evening the three boys will be newly accompanied by a saxophonist, creating even more diverse and interesting sounds to hopefully dance to, but it is entirely up to you if their mission to make undanceable music danceable is succeeded.
