Dubioza Kolektiv

Their music sounds as if you’d throw ska, punk, reggae, electronic, hip-hop and lots of Balkan influences in a blender, but really Dubioza Kolektiv is very hard to fit into a genre. This eight-headed band released their new album ‘#fakenews’ in 2020, in which they managed to put a political message in extraordinary danceable songs. They’ve been dying to play it live ever since and fortunately for us: they won’t be skipping Simplon!

In 2003 this group of friends from Bosnia and Herzegovina decided to form a band. This resulted in their self-titled debut album ‘Dubioza Kolektiv’ a year later. With their (in their own words) ‘politically incorrect’ music, they don’t back off from activist topics, as well as outside of their music. Because of that they had to say no to the Eurovision Songfestival, but they haven’t really suffered from it. After nine studio albums this band still breaks down every place they play. They have previously performed at festivals such as Lowlands, Paaspop and Down The Rabbit Hole, this year they plan on conquering Europe all over again!
