AVEC

The Austrian singer-songwriter AVEC is coming to Simplon with her second album ‘Heaven / Hell’ during the fall. AVEC has a sound that is comparable to the magical atmosphere right before the sun goes down behind the mountains. Its melancholic, however, still hopeful: hence the sun will rise again the next day. Her music is minimalistic and centred around her modest yet strong vocals.

AVEC released her debut EP ‘Heartbeats’ in 2015 and because of this she was nominated for Artist of the Year during the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards. Moreover, she could be admired last January during Eurosonic and her single ‘Darling’ obtained much airplay on Radio 1 and 2. AVED is inspired by Bon Iver, Oscar and The Wold and Daughter, nevertheless she is able to create her own language in her music.
