Talk about a good start of the new year! Bassface is happy to announce that we’ve booked an artist that has been on top of our list ever since we started! 

One of the most unique acts in drum&bass, Current Value consistently experiments and pushes the boundaries of the genre beyond anything you’d think is possible. During this experimentation, however, he never forgets how to destroy a dancefloor. Unique sounds that make subwoofers shake like they’ve never done before, that’s what all of his releases on for example Souped Up, Critical and Invisible have been about. His new album on YUKU, Platinum Scatter, is no exception. A masterclass in production, combined with heavy beats and techno-style stabs and synths, the Berlin-based producer shows his excellence once again. 

On the other side of the label is Germany’s newest drum&bass prodigy Dava. Storming onto the scene with releases on Transparent Audio, Four Corners and Skankandbass, one moment he’ll destroy a dancefloor with big breakbeats and techy basslines, only to make you cry a minute later with the most beautiful liquid roller you’ve ever heard. This man can really do it all. 

Support this time comes from an artist who’s origins lie at the other side of the world. We present to you KRYPTK, a new Groningen resident and drum&bass DJ all the way from Cape Town, South Africa. Hosting his own nights and playing DJ sets along some of the biggest artists in the world, he’ll now show us what he can do to a Groningen dancefloor. Bassface resident Yannons and the Bassface crew themselves complete the line-up.
