When Philine writes a song, she invites everyone to spend a little time inside of her head. For as much as her tender vocal delivery, delicate instrumentation, and vibrant lyricism instantly mesmerize, it’s her expansive imagination that truly beguiles and, ultimately, inspires. As if allowing emotions to assume concrete form, her innermost thoughts manifest aloud in breezy vocal hooks and glassy chords.

With her bright and luminous vocals and honest storytelling, Philine quickly catches your attention. The 23-year-old singer from Rotterdam has already opened for artists such as Froukje, Matt Simons and Maaike Ouboter, was chosen as 3voor12 talent from the 2022 Popronde edition and released her debut EP called “Somewhere Else” last year. Philine grew up mostly listening to artists such as John Mayer and Fleetwood Mac, but nowadays mainly gets her inspiration from artists like Holly Humberstone, The War On Drugs and Phoebe Bridgers.

After quietly buzzing out of the Netherlands, the singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist opens up her world on 2024’s the side-effects of living in a fantasy EP, that she’ll be releasing at the end of this year. Followed by a tour with which she comes to enchant Simplon’s upstairs.
