TAPE TOY

TAPE TOY is crazy and that’s is great. This band goes its own way and doesn’t have the urge to be hip. With their bouncy music of hard guitars, clever synths and wacky twists, TAPE TOY will take you on an awesome show full of energy!

These indie rock talents were put together during a school project in 2017 at the Conservatorium of Amsterdam. This has not gone unnoticed by the Dutch public. Shortly after starting the band, they won the Amsterdam Pop Prize and did many shows during the touring festival the Popronde. They got to play at Eurosonic Noorderslag and were elected 3FM Talent. TAPE TOY likes to shake things up, but on their debut album ‘Honey, WTF’ (2022) you can hear more depth. On Saturday, May 28, they’re coming to show us what that looks like live in our upstairs room!

Support this evening comes from Stella. Stella drags you along through her melancholy world full of long nights and conflicting thoughts. Sober pop songs with a dark edge with inspirations like No Doubt, Big Thief and Smashing Pumpkins. The Amsterdam band makes soft grunge and bring the 90’s to the present. They released 2 singles, which were well picked up and were selected by 3voor12 as Popronde Talent.
