Áslaug

Icelandic-Dutch songwriter Áslaug appeared on the global music scene almost out of  nowhere in 2019. Her debut single ‘Take From Me’ has positively surprised the music industry, receiving national radio airplay throughout the Netherlands and placements in major international playlists on various streaming platforms. She was nominated for one of the most popular acts of Popronde 2019, she became Deezer’s Next Artist and also 3FM Talent. Fans were looking forward to see Áslaug live at Eurosonic Noorderslag. However, the pandemic disrupted these plans.

Fast forward to 2021 and Áslaug has turned into a strong and confident woman who has completely reinvented herself. For the past year she worked tirelessly on her second EP ‘Thirst’, which takes a more analogous approach to electronic pop music. ‘Thirst’, co-produced by herself, is a perfect expression of Áslaug’s talent and thus marking a brand new start to her career.

In December, Áslaug will take the stage again. Together with her four-piece band, she will perform the alternative pop songs from both her new EP ‘Thirst’ and her debut EP. A show that will feature Áslaug’s many identities. Fragility and resilience in the form of dreamy melodic lines, vocal mastery and dynamic beats.
